Great shots, Stephen. Awesome views. A week ago my honey and I were priviledged to stand at sunset on a large patio on a mountain ridge overlooking several breathtaking vistas – the middle Carmel Valley with wisps of fog overhead, the lower same with even more fog, the mouth of “the valley” and Carmel-by-the-Sea which were totally overcast with soup, and then ever further clockwise the multiple cities of the Monterey Bay, and coastline, a virtual corninacopia or urban sights, and far across the bay to the Santa Cruz mountain ridges and coast – just dazzling views. And we hadn’t thought to bring her camera. Oh, well. I can always count on you to find photos that take us back to breathaking moments. Thanks.

    Cheers

I’ve never lived in the vicinity of mountains, so I can scarcely imagine the breathtaking vistas. It amazes me to see how many “moods” a small lake like this one can manifest. With mountains, the changes must that much more dramatic.

A sunrise, last autumn, looking across a foggy lake toward hills on the shore opposite.
