I try not to confuse McCain with God. 🙂 Perhaps McCain would like that line blurred?

Good grief. Do these people read their own press releases? Two lines from the same paragraph –

“Last time I checked a who’s who of evangelical leaders were on record as saying that climate change is not biblical”

“The truth is the climate has varied naturally for as long as there has been a sunrise. ”

Does he really mean that the natural working of the climate proves the Bible is untrue? Or just that “evangelical leaders” are talking out of an orifice best suited for another function? Whereas I’m not prepared to rule out that the latter is what is actually happening, I somehow doubt that either point was his intention…

    Just to clarify:
McCain is not responsible for the “climate change is unbiblical” quote. McCain takes climate change seriously:

When it comes to climate change, John McCain and Al Gore are far too much alike for my comfort. John McCain has been sponsoring legislation for the past several years that would give Al Gore much of the regulatory control and power he sought when he and Bill Clinton tried to get America to sign on to the UN’s Kyoto global warming treaty.

So it’s one of his detractors speaking: someone who wants evangelicals to reject McCain’s position on climate change as unbiblical.

“Talking out of an orifice best suited for another function” about says it!
