I’ve been too busy to post anything the last couple of days. Also, there hasn’t been very much that I consider particularly newsworthy: apart from Colin Powell’s endorsement of Obama.
Here’s a good summary of the state of the race just fourteen days before Americans vote. The video is the first installment of a new Talking Points Memo feature, in which TPM will evaluate the state of the race daily from here on out.
As Josh Marshall explains, Obama is clearly in the driver’s seat. McCain can’t eke out a victory by flipping just one or two states; he has got to catch up in approximately eight states or Obama will will the electoral college tally.
In sum, unless something happens to fundamentally alter the dynamic of the campaign, Barack Obama will be America’s next President.
