    Definitely a message.

    It’s impossible for anything, or anyone, to stay the same. (As Dylan said elsewhere, paradoxically, “There is nothing so stable as change.”)

    We’re changing, either in the direction of birth or in the direction of death.

    Dylan is implying that we should choose birth.

    yah…i got it…jeez but changing is not always good..sometimes sum1 change in a bad way!!!am i right??and it hurts a lot if people change in sooo many ways…

    That’s a good point, jei13!

    But I think we should always aspire to grow, or develop. More character; more maturity; more of whatever good traits we lack.

    The mistake is to think we can tread water, and merely hang onto the good we already possess. If we try to do that, we don’t merely stagnate, we actively degenerate (i.e., we are busy dying).
